AAYC APPLAUDS PRESIDENT ABDEL FATTAH EL-SISI'S VISIT TO UGANDA
The recent visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Uganda marked a significant milestone for Afro-Arab relations and for the Afro-Arab Youth Council’s mission of youth-led unity and development.
President Sisi arrived in Uganda on Wednesday as part of the swearing-in week, offering support to his colleague and AAYC patron, President Yoweri Museveni. The visit underscored the trust and solidarity between the two leaders and the two nations.
During their bilateral discussions, both presidents focused on deepening cooperation between Egypt and Uganda, and by extension, between North Africa and East Africa. Key areas included economic empowerment, electricity, and water infrastructure sectors critical to regional prosperity and youth opportunity. The AAYC also extends gratitude to President Sisi for the warm welcome received during our recent visit to Egypt.
In Cairo, the AAYC delegation was hosted by the youth of the Tagammu Party and received by the Ministry of foreign Affairs-Mohammed Karim Fouad Sharif (Assistant foreign Minister for African Affairs), with the presence of several members of parliament. These meetings signaled strong institutional support for the African and Arab Youth Council’s work.
Our delegation held productive engagements with the Egyptian Youth Council, a leading organization in youth development, and agreed on several bilateral programs.
We also met with the Egyptian Workers Youth Union, the Egyptian Youth Entities Union, and the Tagammu Youth Union. A highlight of the trip was our visit to El Mahalla, hosted by an AAYC executive committee member Hon. Ahmed Bilal Saad Al Burlis. There, the delegation engaged with the El Mahalla Council and participated in the El Mahalla Youth Camp, further strengthening AAYC grassroot connections.
We are proud of the leadership shown by both President Sisi and President Museveni. Under their guidance, the future of the Afro-Arab Youth Council is brighter as we continue working to promote youth unity, peace, and development across the African and Arab region.
